Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas Takes Maiden Voyage

The world's largest cruise ship is finally here

Take a tour of the massive new ship that's bigger than some skyscrapers

Miami, Florida - The world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas, has set sail from Miami, Florida, on its maiden voyage.

The 365-meter-long (1,197-foot-long) Icon of the Seas has 20 decks and can house a maximum of 7,600 passengers and 2,350 crew members.

The ship is so large that it is actually bigger than some skyscrapers. For example, the Icon of the Seas is taller than the Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower.

The Icon of the Seas is packed with features, including a water park, a spa, a casino, and multiple restaurants and bars.

The ship also has a number of unique features, such as a glass-bottomed pool that extends over the side of the ship and a robot bartender.

The Icon of the Seas is a major investment for Royal Caribbean International, and it is expected to be a major attraction for cruise passengers.

The ship will sail from Miami to the Caribbean on seven-night cruises.
