ESA determines Asteroid 2024 RW1 not a threat to Earth
Following the research and analysis of the data collected after the close encounter of the asteroid 2024 RW1 with Earth on the 26th of December 2024, The European Space Agency has fully dismissed and discarded any possibility of the asteroid, which has about 10 meters in diameter, about the size of a small house, of impacting our planet, either in the immediate future or anytime soon.

The analysis of the Near-Earth Object Coordination Centre (NEOCC) of the European Space Agency has determined that as a consequence of the asteroid’s close encounter with Earth’s gravity on 26th December 2024, the asteroid has been flung away from any possible collision course with Earth for the foreseeable future.
The data collected clearly shows how the gravity from Earth changed the trajectory of the asteroid, which now poses no threat to our planet.
