He said he worked for about six weeks, clearing debris and helping to recover the remains of the victims.

"It was a very emotional time," Eichhorn said. "But I'm glad I was able to do my part."

"I think about the people who lost their lives, and I think about their families," Eichhorn said. "It's a day that I'll never forget."
